Photoshop CC 2014.2 Javascript excpection when duplicating layers across documents

We discovered that the scripts in our AddOn (https://creative.adobe.com/addons/pro...) are crashing 100% of the time in the CC2014.2 release. In investigation we’ve discovered that it’s the Javascript function artLayer.duplicate() when used to duplicate a manipulated layer to a different document that throws an exception. This is code that has been unchanged for a long time and continues to work in CS6, CC2012 and worked in CC2014.1.

We’ve created a a simple sample script that is 100% reproducible (under Windows 8 and 64bit Photoshop CC2014.2) and works correctly in CS6 and CC2012.

Hi Matias, thanks. That demo script was helpful. Engineering is looking into the issue.

This should be fixed in the Photoshop CC (2015) update.
