Photoshop CC 2014 Program Error in open dialog on MacOS 10.10.2 Yosemite

I am having major issues trying to open files in Photoshop.

When I try to either open a file or place an embedded file, I get this error message:

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop CC 2014. I have tried deleting the preferences file. I have changed the performance settings in the Photoshop Preferences menu, today I updated my Mac OS to Yosemite 10.10.2 in the hope that that update will have addressed the issue, I have tried repairing the disk permissions on my Mac.

Nothing fixes it. Whenever I start up Photoshop, the first one or two images open up fine but any I try to open after that, gives me this message. It is driving me up the wall.

What's even more frustrating is that I've now read threads and threads about the same problem on many different forums including this one to try and find a solution, and every single thread on the subject has simply fizzled out with no conclusion or solution.

Is there anyone, anywhere that might know a solution to this issue?

It is preventing me from doing any work and excuses of "Sorry, I'm having Photoshop problems" is wearing thin!

I am using:

OSX Yosemite 10.10.2
Photoshop CC 2014.2.2

If I need to supply any other info, please let me know.

Thanks
Ian

That sounds like you are hitting one of the known MacOS 10.10 bugs. Apple is aware of this bug in MacOS 10.10 and working on solutions.

Unfortunately we don't have a lot of details on the nature of the open/save dialog bugs and currently have no idea how to work around the OS bugs.

If you need to get work done, then you may want to consider downgrading to a stable version of MacOS.
