Sorry this update didn't fix the issue you're running into.
Can you provide more information about what you're seeing with Photoshop?
Perhaps provide OS and version, and more details of what's going on so we can help further.
Better yet, would be to start a new conversation/thread here with the above details and we can assist you further there.
Regards,
Pete

I've been working on a series of documents that are much constructed the same way. A photo layer and lots (dozens) of text and shape layers in each document.
All the documents are working fine except for one. On this document, none of the text layers are working correctly. I can select the text and a cursor is shown. But I can't edit the text - it doesn't change. However the layer panel text for that text changes on edit. If I Free Transform any of the text layers, the bounding box moves but the text does not move. It's as if the text layers are orphaned in some way in the document.
This seemed to start when I installed 20.0.1 a couple of weeks ago. 20.0.2 didn't change the issue (except any text edit I did in 20.0.1 on the problematic document is now garbled in 20.0.2). I've uninstalled an reinstalled 20.0.02 without effect.

Wondering if we're getting near file corruption that a new file might resolve.
Another duplication method would be to put all layers into a single group, and then Right-clicking that group in the Layers panel and Duplicating the group to a new document then saving that.
Curious if either of those suggestions helps with the successful editing of the text layers in your document?

Pete

Did this update fix the constrain link on the tool bar? I can't see any reference to it in the fixed issues.
I'm still not convinced that all is fixed.
I will keep using PS 2018 as I'm almost too scared that I'm going to be wasting more valuable time using the newer version of PS.

Are you on Mac or Windows?
Was this happening prior to the 20.0.2 update or does it seem like a new issue for you?
Have either of you tried restoring the preferences to see if something is awry there?
Reset Photoshop preferences: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/basic-trouble-shooting-steps.html#prefs
Let me know if that helps.

Pete

Thanks for jumping in with your experience so far. Sorry you're seeing this missing cursor with text issue.
It'd be good to somehow lock this down.
I'm not able to reproduce on my system here (Mac running Mojave 10.14.1).
For you, if you still have 20.0.2 on your system, what is needed to reproduce this?
- New doc, basic text layer?
- Complex many-layer document?
- Particular fonts?

Pete

Did you update to 20.0.2?
What are you up to when you see the annoying wheel? Is it during painting? or doing another task?
I'm assuming you're on macOS, can you provide which OS version you're using?
Of course, using a previous version that works best for you is a good option to get your work done, although we're working to resolve any bugs on our end as best we can and any detail you can provide is helpful.

Pete

But I believe there is already an inconsistency. The official Adobe "what's fixed" states:
When in fact, it is the other way around, this behavior is now inconsistent with the way it works for the layers tool.
I have to admit I didn't know of either behavior, so in a way, it is a new feature for me.

- Does not open files with smart objects (even with one extra small smart object. That`s insane).
- slows down while watching an animation
- slows down without any reason
in the end, nothing has changed since 20.0.0
I still works on 19.1.7
thanks Adobe))))) not
this is early beta - not a final product.
Just don`t release it. Test it, before release.

How can I help you to solve this problem? Maybe I'll show you how it works through Adobe Connect. And we compare how both programs work on my computer

I probably wouldn't be able to do a 1:1 screen share until next week.

I did not even begin to shoot the process of opening a file with smart objects, because it does not end. in CC2018 time is 15 seconds and in CC2019 is infinite

Clicking on "What's New?" takes you to an Adobe advisory panel which has not been updated since last October so it does not mention which bugs have been fixed (or not!) or if any new features were introduced in 2.0.2.
Having that information is essential before we spend time installing an Update.
-------
This may have been fixed since I installed 2.0.2 last night if ACC's "What's New" is now linking to:

This is FYI only, I have a lot of work, no time to waste "trying anything". Sorry!
I must say: "Thank you for let us downgrade" Hope you can fix those bugs in near future. I will wait to 20.0.3 or better. No issues after reinstalling 20.0.1 I've lost prefs but that's a good price to work with no issues.

Seems to get my ordinary procedure, to skip every update with even numbers...
So with this update I can't open RAW files anymore if they're on a network... GREAT JOB ADOBE
(iMac Retina, late 2015, High Sierra)
EDIT: And since it is a Camera RAW issue, it can't be reverted to an older version.

According to the CC App, this update is supposed to be addressing several high priority issues which were discovered.
Thanks in advance.
