Photoshop CC 19.1 not compatible with Windows 10 Enterprise build 1511.

I run Adobe CC on my HP ZBook laptop, it runs on an OEM Windows for HP employees....couple of days ago i did the Photoshop CC update and my product/ or yours became irrelevant for this computer...

Why keep on paying a monthly sub if the only solution is to run on older version 19.0.1....

I contacted the support and their position is that, Adobe is not responsible for my operating system restrictions.

Well if Photoshop CC has to stay on 19.0.1 on all HP employees computer...what a shame!

Hi Geoffrey,

Sorry for the trouble and confusion caused by the Photoshop 19.1 update removing compatibility with Windows 10 version 1511.

Admittedly, we could do a better job of informing customers of changes like this, and have now updated our System Requirements documentation to reflect the most compatible version of Windows 10. (1607 and later)

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/system-requirements.html

This change was made following Microsoft's lead, who also dropped support for Windows version 1511 and earlier.  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4035050/windows-10-version-1511-will-no-longer-receive-secu...

Since you're using an Enterprise version of Windows, could you screenshot the dialog that comes up with Start > Run (Or Winkey + R) and type "winver"?

This will have the current installed Windows 10 build information. Some Enterprise versions of Windows may be LTSB (Long Term Service Branch), and those can also cause compatibility issues, even with Windows 10 version 1607 LTSB.

In short, updating non-LTSB versions of Windows 10 to 1607 or later is the best route to take for Photoshop 19.1 compatibility.
Photoshop 19.0, and 19.0.1 would still be compatible with 1511, should you desire to stay on that version.

Photoshop 19.0, and 19.0.1 are still able to be installed using the Creative Cloud desktop application by clicking on the downarrow next to Photoshop, and choosing "Other Versions", and then choosing the Photoshop version you'd like to install.

Let us know if you have further questions regarding this, or if you discover you're using an LTSB version of Windows 10.

Regards
Pete

Hi Pete,

And thanks for the quick and proper support! Didn't have the chance to get such  a technical and professional answer with the remote support from Adobe before.

Here's the winver u asked for...doesn't look very good :-(

Please let me know if this is LTSB or not, cause i don't think so....

Stuck to 19.0.1 on this computer i guess :-(

I already processed to my sub cancellation and went for the 60 days free for now...

Best Regards
Thanks,
Geoffrey

Hi Pete,

Goods news...i triple checked with our IT department...my build was the one inherited from the Windows 8 to 10 Migration....now on 1703 after a full re-imaging, everything works like a charm :-)

Thanks again and sorry for the trouble.

Regards.

Pete, I am having same issue. I have removed the Photoshop latest app, but it does not give me any options to install older versions. Help! I am on 10 Enterprise 1511. My only option after removing Photoshop CC is to Buy/Try and then it starts installing without giving my version options. I have a Device license for ALL CC Apps and maintain this for everyone in the office.

I find these Device licenses very difficult to maintain.
