What happens when you use the move tool or marquee tool?
Are you sure you are targeting the correct layer and channels?
Which version of Photoshop are you using?

Hey, I am not beginner in photoshop. I have used it in last 2 years. Recently, when I open photoshop everything is fine but when I switch tools or minimize window then reopen, these tools doesn't respond at all. It's frustrating. I reinstalled photoshop and the problem doesn't go away. I restarted computer also.

What exactly (more details) happens when you use the move tool or marquee tool?
Does the canvas fail to show a change?
Does the layers palette show the change, but not the canvas?

Have you double checked to make sure you are targeting the correct layer and channels? (even I mistarget something once in a while)

And what version of Photoshop are you using?

So my best guess right now is that you have have a video card driver problem causing some updates to not show on the canvas - you can try disabling GPU drawing in Photoshop and see if the problem goes away.
But the solution would be updating your video card driver from the GPU maker's website (Not Microsoft or a system builder, who have out of date drivers).

It didn't work. I disabled the GPU driver and updated the video graphics driver.

Hey, I found the problem. Actually, I installed synergy and then the problem started coming in photoshop and MS Word. I troubleshooted it through this link http://superuser.com/questions/704656...

After uninstalling synergy, it is working properly.

Thanks,
