This conversation has been merged. Please reference the main conversation: Photoshop: Panels and documents not visibly when opening a document from Bridge CC2017

Conditions to Repoduce:
  • Mac OS X Mojave and Sierra
  • Photoshop 2019 and 2018
  • Dual Monitors and Single Monitor
  • At least one image open
  • NO Tabbed Documents ("Open Documents as Tab" is OFF in preferences)

Hi I have had this issue on different teams and machines.

When opening an image from Bridge or Finder any situations where Photoshop is not the active application – the image opens in Photoshop but the application window and any docked panels are hidden. Floating panels still show up, but not the Photoshop Application window.

Doing an application switch to another application and back to Photoshop will reveal the application window. (see video).

I had
posted this before over a year ago when this behavior started with
Photoshop 2018 – it was verified, then associated with an unrelated
ticket.

Here is the posting from before. The customer advocate confirmed the behavior after changing to NO tabs.
