Photoshop: All Brush Options Available For Pencil Tool

Hello Photoshop team,

The following idea is for the Pencil tool to have all the same options available that the Brush tool has. When editing "Brush Settings" when using the Pencil tool, many options will be grayed out, and some options will malfunction. The Pencil tool's purpose is to have aliased edges. But it falls short of being usable as a brush, due to missing and incomplete options.

For example, when using Texture with the pencil tool without "Texture Each Tip" selected,
the stroke will lose pressure opacity sensitivity. It will not work the same as the Brush.

It would be fantastic if the Pencil tool could be used - as an aliased-edged version of the normal Brush tool. If all options could be included in its engine.

For digital artists, having methods of edge control is very useful. Some create pixel artwork. In my case, I create my own sharper anti-aliasing for the edges of brush strokes, by working on a large canvas, and then reducing the size. But this requires aliased edges to begin with. The Pencil tool would be perfect, if only it could equal the Brush tool, with all the same options.

Programs like Paintstorm Studio, Clip Studio Paint, and Krita, allow for aliased edges, without changing any other behavior in the brush engine. It'd be amazing if Photoshop, as the top program, could also have this.

Thank you for considering this idea.
