Photoshop 2014.2.2 on Mac OS 10.10.3 will not save files with a / in the name.

title says it all. i tried to save a file with this character in the title and it refused to do so.

You can't use that character in a filename on MacOS - because it is a path separator (indicates a folder/directory).

You can do that in the finder (the Finder hides the details).
But in the actual OS APIs, that character denotes a folder/directory and cannot be used in a filename.

that doesn't seem like up-to-date information, but I'm also assuming you're using the same APIs your other apps do—InDesign saved without complaint, Illustrator did as well.

(fwiw I'm reporting this for the sake of utility. it didn't stop my workflow or anything, it just surprised me to see it happening since I had never seen it in any of the other Adobe apps.)
