Photoshop 19.1.3: Running "HOT" and strange ticking "thinking" cursor.

This just started today. But when I open Photoshop, my laptop will automatically turn on the fans like it does under load and my cursor starts this very steady, Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick. And the cursor has the loading circle.

I've let it sit thinking it was a background operation that needed to run, but after 15 minutes, it still does it.

It's really messing with the operation of PS as well. The cursor is interrupted each "tick".

I hate to say it, but just one more issue with Adobe products rendering them unusable on my new laptop.

Thanks for all the help.

It sounds to me like you're encountering this issue: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/high-dpi-scaling.html

Thank you!
Im sure it IS related to the DPI Scaling, as I've had NOTHING but issues with my 4K Screen and Adobe software scaling.

It still isn't fixed 100% (My layer options panel is HUGE, cant adjust the border)
But this will get me through the day.
I'll see what tomorrow brings.

Thank you again.

Try rebooting or signing/out back in. Microsoft's scaling API is inconsistent with what requires a system restart verses an application restart.
