PhotoBook Templates - EXTREMELY Lacking - NOT user friendly

It seems Adobe are not listening - OR don't simply care (now that Aperture is not being supported)...
Books layout in Lightroom is pathetic - almost ALL PhotoBook layouts in other programs allow flexibility in layout / add text / shapes of photo windows / images per page etc.
Aperture did an amazing job with this - was user friendly and worked accurately...
WHY cannot Adobe manage this?
My thoughts - "Well - who really cares - we have 'In Design" - why don't you use this" - or they simply don't give a toss!
Going back 5 years people have been asking - SOME support Adobe - Pathetic
AND you cannot talk to anyone or get a response from Adobe :(
I have and will continue to slam Lightroom on this and promote the fact to any potential users -
VERY Disappointed

It's not a matter if Adobe could offer the requested improvements to the Book module, they simply choose not to do so. Even in light of the multiple requests here by hundreds of users begging for some attention.

In fact, if it were not for the steady improvements coming from the Camera RAW team ... there is little evidence that Adobe is offering anything additional for Lightroom whatsoever ... well, except Mobile apps where one is forced to use CC servers to bounce image files hundreds, if not thousands, of miles across the internet just to get your photos on another device that may be inches away.

It's abut priorities for Adobe ... and our concerns are barely even noticeable in their eyes. Once again, they seem to know better.

All I know is the day, the minute, even down to the second ... if a viable alternative to Lightroom ever become available ... I'll adopt it in a heartbeat. because I'm tired of being traded as as a second class citizen.

If they took my concerns as seriously as they do in collecting my monthly stipend ...we'd all be better off.
