Photo Mail feature causes my Organizer to shut Elements 9 down

When attempting to "share" a Photo Mail" my organizer shuts down Elements. I have sent over 50 photo mails in the past. Always to myself which, are then forwarded usually to my entire family. (Birthday wishes primarily).

What happens. 1. One photo is chosen. 2.Click on Share .. Photo Mail 3. Next .. 4 A white screen appears with "Elements 9 Organizer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to close, Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." The window has only one option "Close Program". Which it does.

Still no solution!! Is it the Stationary and Layout Wizard which causes the problem? PSE9 stops working when you have entered contacts and press the Next button. A window appears which is the Stationary and Layout Wizard, but in front of this comes a window stating that Elements 9 organiser has stopped working. Can't find a solution anywhere.

Hi,

Please try this may solve your problem

Please clear your Online services data located at-
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Online Services\Photoshop Elements 9.0 and
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Elements Organizer\9.0\Organizer\OLS

For Mac these go to folder ~/library and same path

After deleting this data, refresh the OLS services from Edit ->preferences -> Adobe partner services ->Refresh.

Many thanks for suggestion, but can't find pathway component 'AppData'. If you can suggest how I get to the Online services data by an alternative pathway I would be very grateful

Am using Windows Vista.
Have found files. The first pathway led me to 'cache.dat' and 'entry.dat' and the second pathway led me to 'service-desc'. When I tried to open any of these files to delete data neither Windows nor Elements could open them.

Also found that I could clear Online services data from within organiser (Edit>preferences>Adobe partner services>clear Online services data). Did this and then refreshed The OLS services as suggested.

Still got to same point in PhotoMail process (ie Stationary and Layout Wizard) and program stopped working and closed down

There is another way to go to appdata .
Press Ctrl+R - it opens run dialog of OS.
type %appdata%.

Seven months and this still has not been resolved. This is a valuable part of the program which would be nice to see some help.

Agree with you Richard. I tried the solution suggested by Neeraj but to no avail. Since the problem arose with PSE9 and they have now released versions 10 and 11, I can't see us getting much help from Adobe!! (apart from the suggestion to update at considerable cost)

Thankyou Andromeda14. That seems to have done the trick! (even though I am using PSE9 on a laptop running Windows Vista and when I clicked on the compatability tab I only had the option of running it under Windows XP (service pack 2) (the option of service pack 3 wasn't available). At least when using photomail I seem to get past the 'stationery and layout wizard' without bringing photoshop to a sudden halt/closedown. Thanks for the fix!!
