I have Photoshop CS4 with Bridge. Suddenly, all my raw files are saving as dng file even when I try to save in another format. CS4 does not recognized dng, so I am losing photos. What can I do

CS4 can open DNG files just fine - it still has ACR.

And are you saving/exporting the files from within ACR?

Have you installed all the updates for Photoshop, Bridge, and ACR?

Adobe says that I have all of the updates. This has just started this past summer. I have never had a problem before. I do not know what ACR is. Thankd

ACR = Adobe Camera RAW, aka how you open and work with camera RAW files and DNG files.

When I go into Photoshop or Bridge and ask for updates, it says there are none available, so I assume I am getting them. I have automatic update checked for every week. The problem seem to be very strange and I really cannot figure it out.
