Permanently add a folder to import source options

The ability to permanently add a folder to import source options. Having to constantly and unnecessarily navigate through user > computer > desktop > photos folder > shoot folder > raw folder > is a real time waster. I'd like to just permanently add my shoot folder to the list of sources. Overdue.

Under the destination at the top right of the import dialog box is a drop down with recent locations.

Thank you! Of course, those are one or two folders too deep. I want to permanently add the folder those are in. Make sense? In other words, I'd like to add "2020 Shoots" to my import sources, but all I can get to with the recents option is 2020 Shoots > 2020_02_15 ABC Co > Raw if that makes sense.

If that means you want to get the parent folder in the recent folder list, then just place one (dummy) image in the parent folder, import it so that parent folder gets added to the recent folder list, and delete the image again from Lightroom because it was just a dummy.

You can manually add a folder there too.

Note that I'm on 8.4 version. Slow to update because, well, you know why : )

There is an “Other source” option. AFAIK that should be there in 8.4 as well.

Just to make this clear: "Other source" won't permanently add the folder to the three folders at the top, but of course the folder will now become listed as recent folder. And the recent folder list appears to be unlimited, so as long as you do not purge it yourself, that folder remains in the list.
