Lightroom: Performance loss in LR4

This is not really a bug report or anything of the like. I just wanted to report that my computer that could handle LR3 without any problems at all is now seeing a bit of lagg when using LR4 while in the develop module and library. Is this something you will be working on in future patches? Would be nice if LR4 was as smooth as LR3.

Try the LR 4.1 RC (release candidate). It seems to work better for some.

Be aware though that LR 4.1 RC introduces a few tricks to boost performance that you may find annoying, such as temporarily disabling sharpening during adjustments or disabling local adjustments while changing perspective correction parameters.

I find these new tricks to be unacceptable and won't upgrade to LR 4 if they are not removed or are made optional. Your mileage may vary.

I downloadeded 4.1 RC but it didn't greatly improve the performance at all. I am quite happy with LR4 but the slow performance of the program is a big disappointment.

1.) Try purging your ACR cache.
2.) Try recreating the preview cache from scratch.
3.) Make sure you do not have the film strip active when testing the develop sliders.
