Lightroom 2015.8: Performance slowdown since recent update?

LR goes on momentary "hold" after keyboard or cursor command since recent CC2015.8 update. Usually the command is executed after a pause though that pause can last for a few seconds to a minute or more.I have checked system use and it shows no spikes or topping out. Keyboard entry is normal in browser windows. I am running Windows 10 with 3.8G processor and 16G of memory.  Never experienced this before the update.  Anyone else having this problem? Tom

try to restart lightroom see if its better, there are many performance issues that creeps up after few minutes of working on images. I'm sure Adobe is aware of it as many people are posting about performance degradation.

Do you mean the background tasks (e.g. exports, build previews, convert to DNG, photo merge etc) pause momentarily when you are doing active edits (like moving a slider or brushing) in the develop module? Lightroom 6.8 prioritizes those active develop edit rendering tasks higher than the non-interactive background tasks, which will be temporarily suspended when the develop slider is moving or brushing. If this is what you are seeing, it is expected. The idea is to make the interactive edit more responsive even if you have background tasks running at the same time.

Sorry for the imprecise term. No, the command itself was not executed.  It was as if LR  had stopped responding - and indeed, it had in that neither cursor not keyboard commands had any effect.  Task Manager did not show it as NR and I could shut it down with a click to the X. Oddly enough, when I opened it today, it seemed normal and I was able to perform fairly processor heavy develop tasks with no slowdowns or "holds". I cannot completely rule out some Windows fault except that mouse and keyboard were normal if I went to the browser. The problem did seem to roughly coincide with my installing the last (2015.8) update so I was just putting this out there to see if anyone else was experiencing something similar. Thanks for your quick response and I will update this if the problem returns.   Tom Forker
