A number of performance improvements were implemented in today's release with more to come in subsequent releases. If you can be more specific about an area of the application that is performing poorly, I might be able to give you a more specific answer.

the spot removal when GPU acceleration is on, I have to switch it off every time I'm doing SR on images, same with the local adjustment brush. why dont' you have an option to switch the GPU acceleration off automatically every time the user switch to spot removal or any CPU intensive functions until you sort it out?

I have looked on the new release info on the blog and could not find any mention of performance, you need to put performance at the top of the list to keep us happy the hardcore photographers that spend days months and years working on this software.

Unfortunately, Adobe often doesn't list all of the changes in its release announcements.  Victoria Bampton's blog usually lists more: http://www.lightroomqueen.com/whats-new-in-lightroom-cc-2015-6-and-lightroom-6-6/

She mentions two performance improvements, switching between photos in Develop and exporting.

For example, the Clone Stamp Tool continues sluggish. Right after opening LR, after each update, this is the first thing I try. Continues incredibly slow with huge delays. Working on a brand new iMac 5k, 64GB RAM, 4GHz i7, AMD M395X 4GB Video, OS X 10.11.5, Lightroom CC 2015.6. Over the next couple of days I will be working intensely in LR and report back here on other details regarding performance, both better and worse (and unchanged). Thanks

Assaf Frank, It's painful enough with 36Mpix Nikon D810 files, I can't imagine what it's like with 80Mpix. So sorry for you. Lets hope for the best and sooner than later. Fingers crossed...

I'm on 5K monitor on the iMac in the studio, but when I'm in the field I'm using my MacBook Pro 15" Retina with 16GB RAM.

Thank you for your support Kostadin, and yes, stop adding new features and make lighroom fast.
I run everything on M.2 PCIE Drives and its better then normal drives but still painfully slow on all the above. 4K Monitor, 64GB RAM, 4.5GHz i7 5960X 8 Core 16 logical, GTX980 Ti 6GB
