Lightroom Classic: People View - Progress Bar / Button

I love the People view and use it to organize years of photos from an ongoing weekly event.  I can easily locate photos of a single person over the years. Two ideas for improvements:

  • Start / Pause / Progress Bar on Facial Recognition:
  • The one thing is there is no way to know when the facial recognition process has started and ended.  When I load new photos or review older ones to see if I can identify anyone, I know that it runs as the names start showing up.  However, I would let it run longer if I knew it would group people better so I have to click through less photos individually. I get it's a learning mechanism so every time I tag someone it can improve slightly.  However, it would be great to be able to "pause" that, approve tags for a bunch of photos, then "start" / "restart" the recognition where it can digest those tags, learn, and then reinitiate the tagging process on the remaining unnamed photos.
  • "Ignore Person" button
  • Also, a "yes that's a person, but ignore them" button would be great too.  Like I shot engagement photos in public for some friends.  I would like to "ignore" people in the background and only tag folks in the foreground. Having to go into the photo and untag each square is tedious.
I know this is a Lightroom Classic issue, though I think it should be taken under advisement for Lightroom CC developers if the People view will be added to that program.
