People recognition has stopped working on PSE 14. It has been working for 100 of pictures but now if I try to mark a face I get a message to say .... "People Analysis is yet to be performed on selected media. Would you like to start analysis now?"
I click on yes. It appears to start and finish but does not find any faces. So I try to mark a face again and I get the same message! After a few attempts a get a message from windows to say Photoshop Elements is not responding and I have to close it.

After more problem determination it appears that this only happens with a few pictures and they had all been edited with Photoshop Elements. It appears that those pictures were corrupted in some way. They can still be edited, but Organiser cannot perform People Analysis on those pictures for some reason. They are all JPG files.

My workaround is to delete the picture that will not work with People Recognition. Then locate the original picture, and re-edit the original! This appears to work for me.

I assume the problem is something to do with how the photo is edited sometimes? I have not been able to recreate the problem once the original image has been re-edited yet, but then I had thousands of photos that were OK first time anyway. If I do manage to narrow down the problem area I will update this record.

People recognition is not working again.  I am using Windows 10 and PSE 14.  No shortage of disk space or memory.  I have several thousands photos that have faces identified OK, but now it is not working.  If I create a new catalog I can us facial recognition on the photos that have problems in my original catalog.

I have gone into Catalog Manager to try and Repair the catalog and also Optimize it but this makes no difference.

If I have to import all the photos into a new catalog, it will take me weeks to recognise all the faces again and there would be no guarantee that the problem wont occur again.

Any suggestions how to fix?
