Pen Tool – Path, visibility and point and handle sizes on 5K Retina Display

Not sure if this is specific to Photoshop 2015.5 or if it happens in previous versions. I've been using PS since v3 on a Mac Classic, so I've got a bit of experience in Photoshop.

The specific problem is related to path point and handle sizes on a 5k iMac. You have to be pixel perfect to select them and they are tiny and sometimes take two or three clicks to select.  It's really basically unusable – and very frustrating to use.

The only solution I've found is to decrease the resolution of the display to below it's optimal setting, but that kind of defeats the purpose of having a 5k iMac.

Also related, and I know it's been mentioned here a few times is the legibility of the paths. On certain images the path is nearly invisible. Grey is not a great choice of colour, especially on a 4k or 5k display.

The ideal solution would be a preference to set the size of the path controls, and the colour of the paths.

All of this. I would like to chime in that it is doubly difficult if you are using a pen-tablet instead of a mouse. You just can not seem to hit that one pixel handle perfectly...

Yeah, I gave up using the Wacom. I'm using a magic trackpad, but I don't think this is the issue. Purely down to the size of the UI.
