Are you talking about Photoshop Elements, or Premiere Elements?
And have you installed all the updates?

Thanks for replying to my problem. I am using Premiere Elements 9 and as far as I can determine I have all of the updates. This problem occurs on both of my systems. I have an iMac and a Macbook pro. I am not sure how to check the patch level of PE9. When I open preferences the screen only shows premiere elements 9.0.

Jeffrey, Thanks for the tip. I have installed the update Premiere Elements 9.01 and the timeline problem seems to have been fixed. From past experience I will wait about a week before I feel comfortable.

I find that I still have the corruption on the timeline. It seems that If I begin to edit and drag from my project down to the timeline I don't see the corruption. When I drag horizontally along the timeline things on the timeline turn bright colors and I can't determine where one clip begins and ends. If I am lucky the clip will snap in next to the clip that I am trying to connect with. If I ton't find the correct spot I find my stationary clip is split and I have to undo the operation. I might add that I have two systems an iMac and a Macbook pro and both systems are doing the same thing. As I stated before this problem began after installing the Lion O.S. 10.7.3.

I have the exact same problem. I found this listed as "known issue" but I have not found any solution offered.
