Photoshop Elements: PE10 Crashes, Slide Show Disappears!

In PE10, I have built a photo slide show of nearly 100 images in Tiff format. When I play it for review, the program quits. When I re-start, the show is gone without a trace despite my saving it periodically during construction. The images remain in the catalog, but out of order. Help! I'm on a deadline.

Jeffery, I'm not sure my response went through. Just in case, again my OS is Windows XP Home Edition.
Thanks.

My guess is your video card is out of date. Determine what video card you have and go directly to the manufacturers website (nVidia or ATI/AMD) and download the latest driver. http://adobe.ly/OpenGL

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I was wondering if the size of the project is simply too large for the program to handle (I have a lot of storage headroom, so I don't think that's an issue). Do you think knocking down the tif files to jpgs would help? This is for a DVD project -- not for large screen reproduction.

Your thoughts?

Thanks again.

I don't think size would be the issue. Try updating the video card driver first.
