Photoshop: Pay for Photoshop by the hour

I'd love to be able to pay for Photoshop by the hour instead of paying the full price up front, an option I think most casual users would prefer. GIMP works for many things, but I'd prefer Photoshop if I had it, and don't want to resort to piracy obviously. It's more relevant to me recently now that I'm working with .PSD files given to me by a graphic designer I hired. I need to make small changes to the designs, and thus would open Photoshop, pay by the hour (or purchase an afternoon/week pass), make and save the edits, and see a timer (with an alert). I'd think my use in the past year was 3 hours a week, which would mean $150 of revenue for someone who otherwise would have never paid $700 for the full version.

I'd be okay with limited features (or a tiered pricing model: $5 for basic features, $10 for more advanced features).

Offer discounts for longer passes (afternoon = 4 hours for $15), etc. Also offer discounts for when they want to use multiple Adobe products in the same period ($15 for advanced features of both, per hour).

Allow hourly payments credit to a full purchase (but discounting at lower value, so that you'd have to pay $1000 in hourly payments to get the otherwise $700 app).

Just an idea.

Someone had the same idea and posted it here: http://digitalministry.com/AU/article...

I hope Adobe reads this!!
