Please don't put your whole message in the subject line.

You've resized the flyout until it's so small it can't even show the resize icon correctly. (darnit, the UI code is supposed to prevent that) That size is remembered in preferences, so you need to reset preferences to fix it. Reinstalling won't change the preferences - so that's not going to help.

See http://help.adobe.com/en_US/photoshop... for how to reset preferrences.

ok sorry!

but reset preferences is not solving the proble or i do something wrong. "preferences/general/reset all warning dialogs" or "reset workspace" i tried both of them.

is there another reset dialog? if there was i can't see it.

also it's a bug... i have never be able to resize the flyout that much....

Neither of the things you did reset the preferences, just small parts of the preferences. Follow Jeff's link or mine to see how to reset your preferences.

Yes, the bug is that it should not have allowed the flyout to get that small. I'll have to check the code and see how that could have happened.

Odd enough, this bug is still flying around.

Crap. That means someone damaged the code we added to prevent a window from shrinking below it's minimum size.

Something's going on with the pattern flyout in the Pattern Stamp Option bar.

Latest CC 2015 from what I understand.

Hello,

I hope someone will follow up even though this is an old thread. I just had this problem (yep, it's still happening), and I had to reset the preferences as recommended in another thread. That worked but just wanted someone to know that the problem is still there and needs to be addressed again. I have Windows 10 and the current Photoshop subscription product. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I have my UI set to large text. Also, the incredible shrinking window phenomenon did not happen until I saved a bunch of user defined patterns as a custom set.

Hi Laura, I'm not able to reproduce this on the latest version of Windows 10. Can you post a screen shot of exactly what you're seeing?

Hi, Jeffrey--thanks for getting back to me. I can't do the screenshot of mine because I already fixed it with the reset option, but here is a screenshot that was exactly like what I was seeing from the thread at https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1939176
Someone talked about custom fill sets there, too, when the behavior started happening. Mine was actually smaller than this. The whole fill window was about 2" x 1.25" and the custom pattern flyout was about the size of the drop-down buttons here. I tried setting it to large icons, resizing box, etc. & nothing worked until I reset my preferences. I'm working with custom patterns all the time, so if it happens again I will update this thread. Hope this helps. Thanks so much!

I, too use the large text and have quite recently, and fairly often, saved user defined patterns as a set. So far, although I experienced the incredible shrinking patterns window back then, I haven't experienced it at all since that time. I'll definitely post here, too, if I do, but as often as I've used it, it's not been an issue.

The difference here could be I'm on a Mac. But clearing preferences seems to be something we all have to do on a fairly regular basis now. I used to almost never, ever trashed prefs, but since CC came along, it's what's worked for me more often than not.
