Photoshop: Pattern File is Bad or Corrupted

I'm using Adobe PS Elements 10 and have received the error message "Pattern File is Bad or Corrupted." I have used Elements 10 HELP and have had ZERO luck. It doesn't seem to be causing me any problem except all of subsequent icons in the organizer section have changed to a hour glass; one exception is that one icon has an hour glass with a "Keyword Tag" attached. I sure would appreciate some help.

One of your preset files has gotten corrupted on disk - probably the patterns preference file.

Go to the Elements preferences folder and delete the file Patterns.psp -- Elements should reload the default next time it loads.

I appreciate the rapid response, but I can't make it work; i.e., I can not find the "Patterns.psp" file in the preferences folder. I have opened the preferences folder in both Organizer and Photoshop Elements 10 Editor -- what am I doing wrong? Would greatly appreciate.

Thanks

I use Windows O.S.7 and could not find the appropriate file in the above referenced location; therefore, I just threw my little temper fit and reloaded Photoshop Elements 10. Thanks for all the help - I don't know where the foul up was on communication, but I have a feeling I was not specific enough describing the problem.

open that image that you want to use as pattern in photoshop, go to edit then define pattern, then save then use that patternĀ
