PHOTOSHOP - Pattern scaling in layers effects is incredibly bad

Please use better algorithm. Algorithm used on pattern scaling is obsolete. Our PCs has yet enought performance :-)

Not only is it ugly as sin, but you can only use integer values. So you only have a choice of 98 values to scale down,  but 900 value to scale up, which I seldom want to do.

I've started using Smart Objects to scale and rotate Pattern Fill Layers, but in Layer  Effects, that wouldn't quite work, since it would scale every other component of the style.

seems to have gotten a lot more »traction« but if the resampling method is weak what good would that be without improving the resampling first?
