PHOTOSHOP CC 2014 - Path tool and selections bugging out

Hey guys!

I've got an issue that repeatedly happens with creating marquee selections or by creating paths - both of which seem to use the same logic because they both produce similar results to this: https://gyazo.com/008a5a92f58903690d00ec576ca90eb7

If I select or if I create a path, it will frequently display this behavior - the selection or path is created in the top left of my workspace. What could be causing this? I've Googled this issue for days and I have yet to find anyone else experiencing this.

Which version of Photoshop are you using?
Which OS version?

Double check the boolean options for path creation - you might actually be removing the path.
Or you could be accidentally selecting another layer and hiding the paths.
But it is also possible that you're seeing a video driver bug.

Photoshop CC 2014.2.2 on Windows 7x64.

Boolean options are set to combine. This happens with anything related to marquees, such as the path creation tool (rounded rectangle, et. al.). Upon further inspection, I can create a fixed-size shape set to 40 pixels, randomly click and drag to place 40 pixel shapes, and then eventually one of them will not appear where I placed it - it gets sent off my workspace about 650 pixels to the top left:

I created that shape while zoomed in a bit further than that, so I zoomed out to give some context to the distance between where it should be and where it ended up. It's definitely not a video driver bug - although I wouldn't mind updating my drivers just in case! :)

Did you update the driver from the GPU maker, or from Microsoft (mistake) ?

And have you tried 2015.1.2?  We fixed a lot of issues in the dot releases.

I updated from Nvidia itself - no worries there. I can give 2015 another shot soon. Thanks!

Alright, so perhaps this helps: https://gyazo.com/581a7f2eb95e6bfe9ef748235bc2eeb2

This is using the Path Selection tool while doing nothing but clicking. You'll see that it randomly creates a marquee selection instead. This is not dependent on zoom. It always selects the same area relative to where I click.

Any ideas? Could it be related to using a GTX 780?

No idea - we haven't seen such a problem on our systems.
