My 5.0 version of Lightroom 5 doesn't seem to have the Painter tool on the Library Module. The viewer modes does not have an option for the Painter tool. Would sure help to handle my keywording.

Press T for tool bar to reveal or hide the tool bar. With the Tool Bar revealed. Click on the Down Arrow icon on the far Right hand side of the Tool Bar and put a check next to the Painter.

The Tool bar is not actually missing on the library module but it sure did disappear with the 't' . Have now got the tool bar back and, as before, I find the far right hand side of the tool bar does not have that choice of selecting 'painter tool'. It starts with 'sorting' and finishes with 'Grid overlay'.
Thanks Rikk!

You must be in Grid Mode to activate the ability to use Painter. It sounds like you are in Loupe mode.

I went via the top left-hand 'metadata' and clicked 'enable painting'. This released the paint tool below on the Tool bar.

I'll chase up the terms loupe and grid on my Martin Evening bible but all seems well now.

Thanks Rikk
