Photoshop: Image redraw problem when in full screen mode

Since I use a small laptop for most of my work I like to use the tab button and F key to hide the tools and use keyboard shortcuts for everything. When I zoom into my project with the brush tool selected and move my mouse the screen kinda freaks out and looks awful. It doesn't seem to ruin the project or damage it at all when you click F again (or tab), the windows will reappear and things will go back to normal.

Sounds like a graphics driver issue. Have you updated your driver directly from the nVidia or AMD website? If that doesn't work, does disabling Use Graphics Processor and restart PS solve the problem? https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/troubleshoot-gpu-graphics-card.html#Troubleshoot

Actually I'm using a Macbook (late 2008 model) on El Capitan, as far as I'm aware there are no driver updates available. I'll still try disabling 'Use Graphics Processor'.

edit: disabling the GPU worked for my problem, thanks a lot.
