I set up a dark gray page background colour some time ago - everything was fine until I recently changed my paper, ink, and printing profile. The new paper/ink combination has an inherently less linear grey scale than the previous one, but, no problem, I thought, the profile will take care of it. It does - the printed photographs and test prints both look and measure exactly the same with the old and new set ups. However, the page background, which was a nice dark grey on the old set up, is now almost black. Again, let me emphasise that the photos themselves are fine - it is only the page background colour that is incorrect. This leads me to suspect that the image itself is colour managed with the output profile, but the page background colour isn't. Any comments?
