Revel: originals on my computer hard drive | Photoshop Family Customer Community

Hello, I would like to know why Adobe Revel keep my pictures on my computer hard drive so I unchecked the option "keep original"?

It takes me a lot of space and I have an external hard drive for my original ....

The way:Library/containers/com.adobe.carousel.mac/data/library/cache/adobe revel

Hi Jamil

Choosing "Keep Originals" is optional, since all the images you import and upload using Revel are stored in the Revel cloud. If you enable this, originals are stored in /Pictures/Adobe Revel/Adobe Revel Library

The cache folder you list is where Revel stores temporary thumbnails to help you view your images. After all your images are imported and synced to the Revel cloud, you can delete Library/containers/com.adobe.carousel.mac to make more room on your hard drive. It will be rebuilt when you next launch Revel and sign in.

It's good that you keep your originals separately backed up. We urge users to keep separate backups of their photos.
