I had to install a new hard drive and have the serial number for the LR5 upgrade, but don't have the original LR4 serial number anymore. Where can I find it?
Thanks.

If you registered with Adobe then log into adobe.com, click Manage, and click though the Products & Purchases lists until you find LR 4 and see if the serial-number is listed.

I don't see any registered products at all under your account with the email you're using to post on this site.

Do you still have Lightroom 4 installed on any computers? If so, go to Help>Register... and register it. Then log in to your Adobe.com account in about 15-30 minutes to find your serial #.

I only registered with Adobe yesterday after realizing that the upgrade SN is not sufficient to activate LR5. Therefore there were no products registered (I registered LR5 now).
I don't have any LR4 information anymore or LR4 installed on another computer. I have LR5 still working on my laptop, though. Would that help?
I did find order confirmations from B&H Photo, however, and realized that I actually bought LR3 first in 2/2012. Would it help if I sent those order confirmations to Adobe?
Thanks!

You can use your Lightroom 3 serial # as your prior version serial. Make sure you register all your products so you don't lose anymore serials: http://blogs.adobe.com/photoshopdotco...

What you are purchasing when you buy Lightroom IS the serial number, so if you didn't get a serial number or at least a redemption code then you got cheated.

Look for an .lrreg file on the computer that has LR 5 working on it.

There should be one for any version of LR installed on the computer, even if that version of LR has been uninstalled. It is a text file and if you open it with a text editor, Inside you'll find the LR serial number for the version of LR the file has in its name.

I have a situation where I can't open my app for Lightroom 4. I was using it last night and this morning and now there's nothing there. When I go to Adobe, it looks like I have nothing there either!
I can't register because like the other person, I have lost my packaging box with the number on it.
Years of work and nothing to show for it. I have back up files but they don't do anything either.
Can anyone suggest a workable solution?
