Cannot open Photoshop elements 9 organizer. After clicking on 'Organizer', the organizer appears on lower task bar. Cannot not open! When I try to maximize the Taskbar, it will not open either. I am afraid of loosing my photos.

hi Packrat,

please tell what plateform are you using ?

can you try from going to first Editor and then click on organizer from top right corner? This may solve your problem.

Hi Neeraj

My OS is Windows Vista Home Premium.

I did go the the Editor and then clicked Organizer form top right corner, but this did not work - this is what happens:

A small box attempts to load the organizer, (continues trying until I close it), but no Organizer. The small minimized 'box' will appear on the task bar, but will not open.

Thank you so much for your help....if you have any other suggestions, they would be welcome :) !

Do you have, or have you had, multiple monitors? If so, the application may be mapped to another monitor space that is no longer available. Try this:
1. Open Organizer (so the application appears on the Task bar and is active)
2. Click the Alt key, then press the Space Bar (NOTE: This is not a keyboard shortcut, you are clicking and releasing the Alt key, then pressing the Space Bar, not Alt+Space).
3. Click the M key.
4. Press any of the arrow keys (Up, Down, Left, Right).
5. Move your mouse.

The application should attach itself to your mouse and stop following it when you click somewhere.

I do have a monitor which I was using when this happened (my laptop is almost always hooked up to a docking station as is my stand-alone monitor). I did follow your instructions, but the Organizer still didn't open. So, I took out my laptop, booted it up and opened my Photoshop program. The Organizer opened!! No problem!! I shut down my laptop, re-connected to the docking station and rebooted my computer (laptop). When I opened my Photoshop and clicked on the Organizer it opened up just fine on my stand-along monitor!

Thank you SO MUCH for your help, Brett...I really appreciate it. Not really sure why this happened right in the middle of viewing pics in the organizer, but, if it happens again, I will know what to do.

Thanks again...
