Photoshop Elements 10 Organizer - Be aware that the file "H264codec.ax" when installed on your PC by another program, will cause the Organizer to shut down on start-up. I found that the Pinnacle TV center Pro did in fact install the codec with it's prgram. I was having the shutdown problem for about 1 month and your support team had no idea what the problem was. When I got the window that said "close the program" I clicked on the link at the bottom that said "details". In there I saw the reference to that file. I looked it up on Google and I found there were problems associated with this file. I then renamed the file and the Organizer started up and stayed up and is working fine...I since uninstalled the Pinnacle program....check it out...

Do you mean it causes the application to crash? Or just silently quit?

I mean at the beginning screen I click on Organizer, Organizer then opens up and I see all the pics in my catalog. Then after 5 seconds or so I get the message stating that Organizer had a problem and needs to shut down. This happened each and every time I started Organizer up and I really needed to view some pics,,,, If I choose the Editor the Editor will come up and I can work with that just fine. The editor does not crash, however when in the Editor and I click on "Organizer" the Organizer will shut down like I stated earlier....check out "H264codec.ax" on Google and you will see......

OK, so it crashes. That's an important detail.
Now we need to wait for the Elements guys to investigate further.

What version of Pinnacle TVCenter Pro are you using. I see from my own searching that there were reported problems with version 4.98. I see that the latest version if 5.2. Perhaps the updated version has fixed this issue.
