Photoshop Elements: Start-up disk is full after importing 38,000 images

I recently upgraded to Elements 10 and Premiere. I downloaded and installed the programs and then tried to use the organizer transferring from iPhoto. I have 38,000 photos in iPhoto. Now, my computer says my startup disk is full. I had recently added memory so I am wondering if it duplicated my photos and filled my computer. I am not able to use any of my programs and don't know what to do. I would really like to be able to use Elements and don't want to just delete the whole thing and give up.

Sounds like you need a bigger hard drive.

hi Keri,
You have said you are using elements and you are worry about duplicating your photos.
1)First of all to import photos in the organizer does not duplicate it , it just only save the location of your photos with some relavent information like metadata and on these generate thumbnails.
2)If you wanted to transfer it to somewhere else select your move option from file menu
