Option to "Store Pictures" with Catalogue...

What I would like is to be able to store my catalogue on a USB drive, and have my images stored in a folder structure in the same folder as my catalogue; in the same way that I can store my settings with the catalogue.

When ever I insert the drive into a machine, regardless of the drive-letter assigned to the USB drive, when I click on the catalogue, Lightroom will then look for all its images in the same location as the catalogue.

Lightrooms default behaviour sucks for USB drive users; where the driver letter often changes from machine to machine when I insert the drive. ESP depending on wether I inserted a USB card reader before,or after I added the USB hdd.

You can store pictures with catalog if you want, e.g. if you export catalog with pictures (negatives) they will be included in subfolder of catalog folder. Or, you can just move them using OS, then do the "find folders" thing to re-link.

PS - I use computer management console to fix drive letter for all my drives so they don't hop around. (right-click computer, choose 'Manage', then 'Storage/Disk Management - then, right-click each removable drive and choose a letter'.
