Lightroom: Option to display images at equivalent sizes regardless of aspect Survey/Library view mode.

I would like to see an option to display images in Lightroom's Survey/Library view with equivalent sizes for both horizontal and vertical images. Currently, the images form a grid that fills the space with larger and smaller images due to their aspects. It is visually difficult to compare images when vertical images are twice the size as horizontal images.

Hi James,

If I understand you correctly, you mean when you're in the Grid(G) view of the Library module. The Survey(N) view looks very much like the Loupe(E) view, unless I have some setting set different than you.

If I'm correct, I agree completely. I'll watch for your confirmation on what I'm asking so I can come back and +1 this.

In Grid View / Library, thumbnails of both vertical and horizontal aspects conform to a square grid. In Survey mode (N) they do not, and you end up with horizontal images much larger than vertical ones when comparing a group of images. It would be nice to have a toggle hotkey or pref setting to conform them all to the same relative sizes rather than spreading out to fill the space.
