To avoid clutter, make different layer orders, arrangements, etc.

Sorry for not detailing.
Say you have Layer comp 1 and 2, and Layers 1, 2, 3 and 4.

In Layer comp 1, only Layers 1, 2 and 3 are used, and Layer 1 is on top of Layer 2. This would be reflected in the Layers list. I.e. Layer 4 could be (optionally) hidden by pressing a hide/show toggle.

In Layer comp 2, only Layers 1, 2 and 4 are used, and Layer 2 is on top of Layer 1. I.e. a different arrangement to the above. In this case, Layer 3 could be (optionally) hidden by pressing a hide/show toggle.

A 'show hidden' feature could be used to toggle back hidden layers.

Hope that makes sense. Had to write in a hurry, but this is really two seperate feature requests. One for show/hide and one for rearranging layers between comps.

this doesn't make much sense to me. If you toggle the visibility of layers, then there's no way to re-arrange them since you'd have no idea where they're actually going.

For the examples, the layers being rearranged are all visible in their respective Layer comp. I'm not talking about layer visibility btw. I'm talking about layers being shown/visible in the Layers list at all, unless a 'show hidden' is ticked. These options would just be to make it easier to manage a Layer comp.
