Lightroom Classic: Option to Always Ignore certain photos on Import or Synchronize folders

This situation seems to keep coming up for me, I open the import dialog or I go to synchronize folder, which is just an import with add... I get the list of "new" photos and realize there are some I do not want to include in the import.. so I deselect them.. well, next time I do the same thing.. the same "New" photos are there and selected by default so I have to deselect them all again... What would be of great benefit would be another option to Ignore photo forever... and just not select it by default even though it is not in the catalog... They would still show up in the list of All files but just remember to not be selected.. and not show up in the 'New Files' list. one could always switch to the new files list and go force them to select if they changed their mind, and you could also include a button or menu option to 'forget all ignored import photos' if you want to show them all again. This would save a lot of either deselecting the same files over and over or importing them and then deleting the same files over and over if these photos do not belong in the catalog you are importing to.

Adobe can't change the way that Lightroom works, just because one individual user asks for that. That is why you can propose new features here, and why other people can vote for those suggestions. Nobody voted for this in 4 years, so it does not seem to be in very high demand.

I'd like to have the option to ignore specific subfolders on synchronize.

Quit using synchronize and use import and Command Click (Mac)  to select as many folders you want with "include subfolders" turned off.

Why have features, when we can all use workarounds forever?

Being able to mark folders to be ignored is a common practice, but Adobe seems to ignore it. See https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/lightroom-mobile-android-choose-folders-to-upload-photos

You should post this in a new thread as your request has nothing in common with the original subject of the thread and you may get more people to agree.  I don't care about ignoring SPECIFIC subfolders when using Synchronize Folders but I would like the same switch that is in Import, "Include Subfolders" that could be turned off.  It would be easy to implement and would make Synchronize Folders more useful.
