Photoshop CS6: PDF renders different (and bad) from Photoshop 5.5

PDF created in InDesign (CMYK, 300 dpi) and then opened in Photoshop 6 gives all kind of white renderings lines.
Same PDF opened in Photoshop 5.5 renders it like it should.
See the two attached images

That's a known problem with tiled images (usually exported with a PDF/X prepress option).

Was this created in InDesign? We need the original file (before exporting to PDF), the PDF, and the settings used to export it so we can figure out what is going on.

Also, this is Photoshop CS6 (13.0). Photoshop 6 shipped about 8 years ago.

Confirmed. I have this problem too.

Here are my files producing similiar buggy result:

(file is made in Adobe Illustrator CS5)

PDF exported from it:

Rasterization result in Photoshop CS6:

Rasterization result in Photoshop CS5 (same settings):

So i guess, in couple with my previous described problem - bug is NOT in Indesign or Illustrator or something else, bug is directly in brand new photoshop CS6 PDF rasterizer.

Nope, the problem has existed for a while, but was made more visible when Photoshop switched to a higher quality rasterizer.

The problem really is in the way the PDF is created (with image tiles that just slightly overlap and can only be rasterized correctly at the image resolution).

BTW - the same artifacts can also show up if you open the PDF in Illustrator (even older versions). And in Illustrator, you can zoom in and see the insane way the images are divided up.
