Photoshop: Opening a .psd created in Elements - the text formatting gets changed

I'm not sure if this is a bug in Elements, or Photoshop but it's definitely some sort of bug.

A client I have sent me .psd files she made in Photoshop elements. When looking at the thumbnail on my Mac, or even opening it up in Preview - it preserves the original formatting the client created but when I open it in Photoshop (CC 2015.5) it changes and effects the text / formatting.

The images on the right are the preview in Finder and the left is just opening it in Photoshop without doing anything - no clicking in text boxes, etc. The top images has hyphens added and the bottom has extra text that shows up. (the text going off the page is on the same layer as the top line: "Forte Deluxe Instrument Rentals")

Size of the text has changed. Not necessarily a bug.

Howdy Richard,

Are you sure that you have the same version of the font as your client?  It looks like some of the text could have reflowed, which would imply a font change.  Also, please note that the text is now hyphenating.  I'm not sure if this is a capability of Elements, but you could simply turn it off in Photoshop.

Hope that helps,
David
