PLEASE let me drag an image from my Web Browser directly into Photoshop.
It's so irritating to have to download an image just to drag it into Photoshop.

I really thought Photoshop used to allow this.

If your browser supports drag and drop, it already works.

My browser DOES support drag and drop and this doesn't work. :(
I have Chrome and it's up to date. I'm using CS6.

What I'm finding is that different browsers implement drag and drop differently. Some work when dragging to the app icon, but not when dragging onto a document. Some give Photoshop a file path (that it can open), while others give Photoshop a URL (that Photoshop can't open). And some browsers put transparency on the clipboard when sending a clipboard reference, while others don't.

So Photoshop supports drag and drop, and the clipboard -- but some browsers are doing things that just don't work. We'll have to investigate what the major browsers are doing on each platform, then see if we can do more to support those that aren't as well behaved.
