Lightroom: Online chat assistance has left me with unable to locate messages for 205 photos

I had an issue when transferring from Lightroom to Photoshop so contacted the online chat. After an hour of conversation and being transferred I was left with the 'unable to locate' error messages. this after i'd given access to them to resolve and update. the solution is to individually relocate and I'mport or delete and re-instate. Not all the photos I've editing have been exported!

But hey, they apologised for the inconvenience so that makes it all ok.

Ugh, frustrating! Ok, can we help you fix them? Do you know where the photos are on the hard drive? And is the whole folder marked as missing, or just specific photos?

Most, as some are only held within Lightroom. It's both folders and photos- Abhimanyu Singh really starred

Ok, just to be clear, no photos are ever held "within Lightroom". They're always normal photos on your hard drive, so you'll need to find them on the hard drive before you can fix the links. This might help you understand a little better: https://www.lightroomqueen.com/lightroom-photos-missing-fix/

this options given in the link talk about moving, renaming or deleting folders. I did none of this. it was only after the remotely carried out update, and no reason was offered.

Ok show us screenshots and explain what you remember about the conversation. Also, do you have a catalog backup from before this call? And do you have backups of your images?
