Well the onion skinning in CC2014 is so bad it really should be used in software writing courses as an all time how not to. In general the animation in Photoshop has been plagued by too many changes and difficulties but the past is the past. What the present onion skinning doesn't do is what it's supposed to do. I now know how to work it but it too two hours of trial and error in a menu item with six variables. What it needs to do is easy. Set the number of frames before or after the current frame you want to see and how bright they are. It's so hard to use that my students just gave up. I persisted going back and forth till I got it to work. I will never get that time back but I'd like to offer my service to help. I'm an animator who grew up using Flash from when it was called Splash and used Photoshop along the way to do various things. But not I need to use it a lot more for animation and it needs help. Please let me.
