I am using Mac Catalina with PS 21.1.3. When I crop an image and then use the polar coordinates filter the old, uncropped image is still used on the polar coord image. How do I make sure that once I've cropped an image the old image is removed?

What were the Crop settings (»Delete Cropped Pixels« for example)?
Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, ...) visible?

Hi Christoph.  Many thanks for getting back to me, but I think I've sorted the problem out.  I am new to PS and was using youtube for some guidance.
I'm all sorted now, but once again, many thanks. No doubt I'll be back!!

Gordon: Cropping does not create a "new" image leaving an "old " one to be removed...

Even if you select 'delete cropped pixels'?

Perhaps I misinterpreted your question. Selecting Delete Cropped Pixels does trim the same image down to the size that you cropped, but you must be sure and click the Check Mark to complete.  There is no second copy of the image created, however...
