I am getting a lot of frustrating crashes whenever I do the following actions in my image editing workflow:
I do usually crop/zoom a lot my images. I do notice in first instance that sometimes the graphic bugs and the image looks corrupted whenever i crop and zoom together or shortly after each action. Going back to fit to screen zoom makes the image to de-corrupt. But then after a few more actions like changing to "brush" and especially when i do reset the foreground and background brush palette with "D" hotkey I do obtain a crash. This happens 35% of the times.
Recently since a few releases ago I am encountering an even more serious problem:
Whenever I do zoom 1:1 my image, the performance of the PC drops to zero and I do start having bad input delay (over 1 sec even on mouse movement). When I do activate the mask red overlay, it does look corrupted (giant red boxes). Zooming out until i fit to screen (or close to it )eliminates the problem and the pc starts working fine again.
Note: my pc is fully capable (it always worked fine with ps)
Specs:
Asus N56VZ Laptop
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
8GB Ram
Geforce GT650M 2GB
Windows 8.1
