This is something that is bugging me since cc is out. Before on older versions on photoshop when i was changing color of a shape/path, or writing a text in a field or using layer styles, i got used finishing editing with numpad enter key. Now every time i try to do the same i have to click somewhere (in a neutral space) to deselect whatever setting i've modified last so i can press the enter key to apply and exit. It really bums me out any solution to make it work like before(like globally not to take in consideration the menus and stuff)?

Howdy 'Rashu,

There should be no change in this behavior -- the Enter key should complete entry in a Text layer, text box, or most any editable field in Photoshop.

What OS are you running?  What kind of mouse do you use?  Any other keyboards, tablets, or input devices?  Something doesn't sound quite right here...

Thanks,
David

Windows 7 at home Windows 8.1 at work, an usb mouse the keyboard is the one built in the laptop, no tablets or input devices.

An example: I open layer styles for a layer, uncheck R(red) from channels, press numpad enter key it checks back the Red instead of applying it. I think it's not a bug but rather an unexpected outcome.

Sometimes works sometimes it will just check and uncheck the last selected menu, i know it's a very specific and geekish thing :)), it just buggs me out when i do things on the run.

Hiya 'Rashu,

I can't repro this at all.  Do you want to set up a web-hosted screenshare so we can troubleshoot this problem together?

Thanks,
David
