Photoshop: Numerical arguments for tool settings entered via keyboard (e.g. enter # to change rotation with rotate tool)

When you are using the brush tool, you can type in a number to change the opacity. Similarly you can change the wetness in the same way when using the mixer brush tool. This is incredibly handy and I think it would be good to extend this to other tools that take a numerical argument. The one I am specifically thinking of is the rotate view tool, though I am sure there are others where this would be useful.
I realise that pressing a number when a tool with no numerical argument is selected changes the opacity of the current layer. However when the rotate view tool is selected pressing a number does nothing, so it might as well be used to rotate the view without needing to take your fingers away from the keyboard.
