Now that Lightroom supports HDR DNGs, it would be really helpful if you could do a meta data filter with bit depth as a search criterium.

After creating an HDR photomerge, finding the resulting images can be tricky. I know I can do a search for the text "-hdr" if I've kept the default settings, but when I start to get a lot of files with that suffix, it might not be so helpful a search.

In addition, if I need to reduce the space of my library, it would be helpful if I could easily find my 16 bit tiff files. That way, if the files no longer require any additional modifications, I could have the option of opening them and converting them to 8 bit.
