Elements 9: Nothing happening when inserting install disk

When I insert the Photoshop Elements 9 disk into my Mac, nothing happens.
The disk says it works with Win/Mac
Help

Did you open the disk and launch the installer?

I don't quite know what you mean? It's working fine on my Windows XP but not on this computer.
