I am trying to edit some photos in Photoshop.com, but every time I try, I get the error message "the selected file could not be uploaded." Why is this happening??

What browser?

What OS?

What kind of file were you trying to upload?

I was on my desktop computer using Chrome on WinXP, trying to open JPEGs that I had just uploaded from my DSLR's SD card. Usually I have my laptop with full Photoshop installed, but I had left it at the office, and I needed to get some pictures to a client.

I ended up using Picasa to make some modifications to the images, and then used Sunlight Green to re-size them. When I was done, on a whim I tried again to open them in Photoshop.com, and they opened just fine.

I'm thinking that they were too big for PS.com, but the error message was too vague, and naturally I couldn't find any reference to the error message I was getting. If I find myself without my laptop again, I will have to remember to re-size in Sunlight Green before trying to open in PS.com.

Size shouldn't really be an issue for uploading jpegs. I just uploaded a 5500x5500 pixel image. Were you trying to upload from your hard drive, or from the SD card (not that it should matter)?

Let me suggest some basic troubleshooting....
-- Can you try updating your version of Flash player? Link: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
-- Can you try an alternate web browser?
-- Can you try the standalone Photoshop Express Uploader? Installer: http://www.photoshop.com/tools#uploader
